Thank for sharing this. I was very emotional during the eclipse. I watched NASA's live stream and was so moved by the responses of those gathered in totality. I was maybe an hour drive away from totality, but wanted to experience the event at home, about 97% I believe it was here. I wasn't expecting a darkened sky here, but we did get a little darker. It was like a cloudy day but no clouds. It got a little chillier as well. It was surprising to me. Moving. Happy to be alive and able to experience it from my front yard.

Thanks for sharing! Once again, you hit the nail on the head for me personally/emotionally/spiritually. A cosmic bonding moment for our country at a time when unity is sorely needed. Loved that my extended family from Texas to Florida to New England were all sharing how they were celebrating in the moment. Cosmic excitement and connection!

That was beautiful, thank you. I chuckled a bit as I read your description of your view in California - able to see a tiny bite. I am up here in the Pacific NW, where my bite would have been even smaller than yours had I been able to see anything at all - total cloud cover up here. But, I watched it on TV as it moved from city to city and was also moved by the uniting power of the event. Everyone of all political persuasions were excited by it, all across the path of totality. And the images projected on my screen were phenomenal.
